What CyberCircles does

CyberCircles lets you share your location and activity with the people in circles you join. Only members of a circle can see what you share with it.

What we collect

• Phone number, to create your account and sign you in with a one-time code.
• Precise location, including while the app is closed if you allow "Always" access, to show where you are to your circle members.
• Motion and fitness data (driving, walking or still, steps and distance), to save battery, detect hard braking and crashes, and share activity with the circles you choose.
• Device identifiers and account ID, to keep your sign-in and notifications working.
• Crash data, collected with Firebase Crashlytics, to fix bugs.

How we use it

Only to run the app: showing you to your circles, sending alerts, signing you in and fixing crashes. We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising or tracking across other companies' apps.

Who sees it

The members of the circles you are in see your location and activity, subject to the pause and sharing controls in the app. Our service providers process data for us (cloud hosting, SMS delivery for sign-in codes, push notifications, crash reporting).

Your controls

• Pause sharing, or leave a circle, at any time.
• Change location and motion permissions in iOS Settings.
• Delete your account in the app. This deletes your data from our servers.

Children

Children can be members of a circle created by a parent or guardian, who is responsible for the circle.
