What is CyberCircles?
CyberCircles is an app that helps people stay connected through shared live locations, place alerts, battery status, driving insights, and step-count information.
Is CyberCircles available on Android and iOS?
Soon. CyberCircles is coming to both iPhone and Android, and isn't in the App Store or Google Play yet. Join the waitlist and we'll email you as soon as you can download it.
How do I add someone to my circle?
Create a circle and invite the people you want to connect with. They need to join and complete any required setup before the relevant features become available.
Can I add more than one Circle?
You can add, or be a part of, as many Circles as you like. There is no limit as to the number of Circles you can create or be a part of.
Do all types of Circles get the same feature set?
Not exactly. Most core features are available across all Circles, but some features may vary depending on the type of Circle and how its members use it. This helps make each Circle more relevant to your needs, whether you’re connecting with family, your partner, or friends.
What if I don’t want to share my data at all points of time with the circle members?
No problem. You can always hit pause or set time limits as to when the data should be shared with other circle members. You have all the control to do so.
Can I set alerts for important places?
Yes. Pin important places and configure alerts when circle members arrive or leave, subject to their device permissions, settings, and location availability.
Can I see a circle member's live location at all times?
Location availability depends on the member's sharing settings, device permissions, connectivity, and battery settings. When a member's location can't be updated, the app shows when it was last updated, so you always know how current it is.
What driving information does CyberCircles show?
CyberCircles supports journey recording and driving insights, including the recorded route and average speed per journey. How complete and accurate these are depends on the phone, its signal and its battery settings.
Does CyberCircles show battery status and step counts?
Yes. The app provides battery-status and step-count information where supported. Update frequency and data availability may vary depending on the device and permissions.
Will CyberCircles work without an internet connection?
While a phone is offline, its location and alerts can't reach the rest of the circle. The app keeps recording on the phone and sends what it saved as soon as it's back online, so some updates may arrive late.
How does CyberCircles handle my personal information?
CyberCircles uses personal information to provide its services, subject to its Privacy Policy. Review the policy for details on what information is collected, how it is shared and retained, and how to exercise available privacy rights.
